Chichin is a very useful banking and trading platform powered by Ethereum Blockchain. It provides a complete solution that includes a trading app, chichin tokens with an electronic and cold wallet to easily buy/sell coins, send/receive money instantly between app users. The cold wallet allows transferring the Ethereum coins between two users offline, using Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC.
Business Overview
Client (Banco San Juan Internacional Inc), a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, wanted to build a cloud ecosystem for currency interchange.
End client wanted a complete platform that enabled different small & big traders and their customers to perform crypto transactions easily and to facilitate them with a web dashboard and mobile app and a cryptocurrency wallet.
Clients also wanted to allow their users (buyer/sellers) to transfer Ethereum coins in offline mode, via Bluetooth, WiFi-Hotspot and NFC which will be reflected in their online wallet as soon as the online node commits the transaction on the Ethereum network.
The Challenge
No doubt, for any application where payment transactions are involved, the major challenge is to secure the application from internal and external threats.
As there is a cold wallet, we need to ensure certain cases such as what we do when the phone is stolen, protect the user’s private key or mnemonic, transport channel security etc.
Sending offline transaction to multiple sellers was a hard use case to implement.
Our Approach
This was one of the most challenging projects we have done so far, but we have invested our best efforts to achieve this and provide the best possible solution to our client. We did very hard research and analysis to craft a solution to implement a complete currency trading platform with Chichin token, electronic, and cold wallets.
