Dashboard To Track The Time Spent On Facebook App
To stay ahead in competition race, Facebook always introduces new features. The latest announcement is the dashboard for users to track the time they spend on this app.
In the month of June, Facebook was working on this time tracking feature. But finally now that ‘Your Time on Facebook’ has made it to the application. It is important to note that the Facebook dashboard will present data in bar chart. Further, it will only display the usage information. It won’t allow users to block themselves as it is possible in Apple’s Screen Time and Google’s Digital Wellbeing.
To access this feature, click on hamburger icon on the top right corner on your Android or iOS device, go to Settings & Privacy section. Then, tap ‘Your time on Facebook.’
In case you cross daily time limit, you can track that as well by setting up a reminder alerts. It will pop up in your notifications feed.
Top of it, you can also unfollow friends or any page to reduce news feed size.
However, as of now, there is no precise breakdown of exactly where your time goes or on which specific activity like groups, photos, messenger, etc.
How are you going to use this feature and what benefits can it bring?
